Automation Test Engineer (RPA)

About the Project and the Role:

Our client is the market leader in contact center robotic process automation (RPA). The patented platform delivers a proven approach for automating currently manual management processes. Through automation, it enables contact centers to effectively reduce costs and increase employee engagement in industries including financial services, telecommunications, insurance, and healthcare.

You will be responsible for implementing automation tests, updating different layers of existing automation frameworks (API, DB work, utilities), incorporating them into CI/CD process, maintaining automatic run, improving automation testing strategy and processes, implementing new functionality, and solving issues, etc.

Your Essential Duties will include:

• Analyze new features in sprint user stories and determine the potential impact on performance
• Attend daily standups to report progress and blockers
• Work independently to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and escalate as needed
• Work closely with other QA team members to share and learn technical and business knowledge
• Work closely with Dev and DevSecOps teams on integrated items
• Advocate quality by adhering to QA best practices
• Keep current with new technologies and incorporate them into the testing process as needed

The Technical Skillset we are looking for would be:

• Ability to convert tests into automation coverage
• Ability to build/extend Automation framework, incorporate existing Integration framework into automation
• Experience in understanding and executing SQL queries
• Working knowledge of UNIX, LINUX, Jenkins
• Experience with Integration API testing via Rest and Soap services with JSON and XML
• Experience with QA tools, such as Quality Center, QMetry, Jira, Confluence
• Experience with trace tools such as Fiddler, HTTP Watch, and AppDynamics
• Experience writing test cases and tracking defects
• Knowledgeable in Agile/Scrum SDLC methodology
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and a strong team player
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
